What is the most romantic book you've ever read?I'm honestly not sure. I don't really like romantic books. I like mysteries, and a little sarcasm. I did not enjoy the books assigned to me in high school because forced reading isn't much fun (exceptions include To Kill a Mockingbird and Catcher in the Rye).
Shakespeare is romantic, I suppose. Romeo and Juliet is a classic love story, that's been retold countless ways (yes, kids, even the vampires and werewolves are just Shakespeare in disguise). But *spoiler alert* at the end of that story, they're both dead. Not much romance.
I don't know - maybe books just don't do it for me in terms of romance. I should probably stick with movies. Come to think of it... Princess Bride is also a book.
definitely outlander by diana gabaldon ( the whole series!!)
ReplyDeleteThere is a book called Redeeming Love about a man who fell in love with a prostitute. Sounds rather skuzzy, eh? It's not. It's an absolutely beautiful love story that just broke my heart and mended it by the time it was over. I would highly recommend it to anyone but just - wow. (4.5/5 stars on GoodReads).
